This project is an opportunity for volunteer teachers to gain experience teaching abroad. Teaching volunteers work with rural primary and high schools, to provide supplementary English, maths, science and geography tuition. In this way, volunteers help to tackle the gap in education service provision in rural areas created by the difficulty local authorities have in recruiting teachers for placement in rural areas.

Volunteers work in the classroom, teaching at all levels. There is ample opportunity to assist with additional, extra-curricular learning activities and assist children with their schooling in as many possible ways.

Education volunteers also join our role model initiative, working with youth groups in and around our local area, and through schools to empower and inspire disadvantaged youth to dream big and achieve their ambitions.

This opportunity is open to qualified teachers and students of any subject. It is particularly useful to be interested in teaching and young people, or have had prior classroom experience of any kind.
